Job Summary
The Quality Technician II plays a critical role in upholding product quality and safety by conducting standard laboratory tests and experiments. This position supports product release equipment qualification process improvements and site initiatives. The technician applies established procedures while using sound judgment to resolve moderately complex problems ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine environmental monitoring of water air and surfaces to detect potential contamination.
- Conduct quality control testing on components and finished goods including TOC Gram staining growth promotion particulate count bioburden sterility endotoxin cell-based assays and chemistry tests.
- Complete investigations and corrective actions when necessary focusing on accuracy and compliance.
- Manage meticulous sample distribution and documentation.
- Oversee laboratory supply and reagent inventory including ordering and restocking.
- Accurately enter laboratory data and maintain comprehensive records in data management systems.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization; perform autoclaving and glassware washing.
- Participate in assay validations equipment qualifications and special assignments.
- Implement and revise standard operating procedures; identify and propose workflow improvements.
- Coordinate laboratory assignments and provide training to new team members.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Supervisor to address technical challenges and anticipate operational issues.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned to support laboratory operations.
