We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator/Programmer (Woodworking) to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC woodworking machinery strong programming skills and proficiency in AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360 for design and toolpath generation. This role requires a balance of technical expertise problem-solving and precision to deliver high-quality wood components that meet design and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming & Operation
Create modify and optimize CNC programs using Fusion 360 Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Set up and operate CNC woodworking machines (routers mills lathes etc.).
Select tools feeds and speeds appropriate for woodworking materials.
Design & Toolpath Development
Interpret technical drawings blueprints and CAD models to develop machining strategies.
Generate accurate toolpaths and simulate machining processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with design teams to refine models for manufacturability.
Production & Quality Control
Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy quality and adherence to specifications.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers gauges templates).
Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues.
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean organized workspace.
Document processes setups and production data for continuous improvement.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer in woodworking or related field.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360.
Knowledge of woodworking materials (MDF hardwood plywood laminates etc.) and cutting techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Experience in CAM programming G-code generation and CNC setup.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with CNC routers and nesting software.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization.
Understanding of finishing techniques (sanding edging polishing).
Diploma/Certificate in CNC Machining Wood Technology Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
2 5 years of experience in CNC woodworking operations and programming.
