Job Title: Software Engineer III- Core Engineer III
Location: Chennai

Position Description:
- The Client is in the middle of a Supply Chain Transformation.
- One of the key focus areas to enable this transformation is to ensure robust management of supply chain risk and assurance of supply to ensure demand for our world-leading products can be met optimally.
- As part of the transformation we have initiated multiple IT system development projects to support strategic business initiatives in various business units.
- We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and support multiple IT systems being built as part of this transformation.
Position Details:
- Software Engineer position within IT Product team responsible for full cycle systems development activities including software design development and deployment to launch new systems and enhance existing systems.
This position core responsibilities and tasks will include: -
- Development and integration of IT solutions using agile methodology considering architecture patterns critical performance characteristics security measures and customer requirements.
- Integration planning and integration deliverables (Webservices API ETLs etc.)
- Working with others to prepare and stage production builds verify production releases that meet technical and business expectations
- Leading data migration/conversion activities - Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other developers
Skills Required:
- Google Cloud Platform Python GitHub Tekton TERRAFORM Linux Java Database
- Other Big Query GCP Cloud Run Cloud Function
- Data Flow Data Fusion Compute Engine Cloud SQL
Experience Required:
Technical Skills:
- Java (Open JDK) Databases Python
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform services
- Cloud Run / Cloud Function / Dataflow / Data Fusion / BigQuery / Cloud SQL /Compute Engine
- Experience with software delivery tools (GitHub Tekton)
- Experience in large complex application development including integration within multiple applications
- Experience in Terraform scripting for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Linux command line Experience:
- 6 years in IT
- 4 years in development
Experience Preferred:
Other Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in cloud native monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of file transfer automation and communication processes like SFTP HTTP HTTPS MQ processes.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management ecosystem.
- Experience working in a cross-functional global team environment.
- Experience on Linux platforms
- DevOps working experience
Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree
