Role Summary
The Electrician III will supervise and perform advanced electrical duties including installation preventative maintenance repair testing and ensuring compliance with applicable codes. This position will be based at a healthcare facility and may also oversee Electrician I roles.
Core Responsibilities

Independently troubleshoot controls and power electrical systems

Oversee removal and replacement of motors starters relays limit switches fuses and control components

Supervise and troubleshoot primary electronic systems using ladder logic diagrams and schematics

Perform new installation wiring hook-ups and upgrade existing equipment

Assemble inspect adjust repair and replace electrical devices and wiring

Conduct high-level mechanical and electrical repair including work on automatic transfer switches UPS/battery storage emergency generators and photovoltaic systems

Interpret and apply Federal State and local code ordinances

Supervise a team of electricians and manage conflict resolution

Work varying shifts including nights weekends and holidays as needed
Must-Have Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician License in Maryland (or transferable to MD)

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician and/or relevant education and experience

Minimum 5 years of high-voltage (over 480v) experience

Experience with power generation systems diesel generators switchgear and transformers

Ability to read understand and communicate instructions (written and verbal)

Strong interpersonal communication skills across diverse teams and stakeholders

Basic computer skills (internet email manuals) and ability to quickly learn new programs
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in commercial campus or central utility plant settings

3 years of supervisory experience including conflict resolution

Prior experience working in a medical facility
