Job Description

Our client is a dynamic and growing property services group with a significant presence in both the UK and South Africa. They are committed to operational excellence and are undergoing a strategic initiative to bring their payroll functions in-house offering a unique opportunity to shape and lead this critical transition.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for both South African (EMP201 EMP501 IRP5 UIF SDL) and UK (PAYE NICs RTI) operations ensuring full statutory compliance.
Lead comprehensive payroll reconciliations audits and the effective resolution of exceptions.
Develop and maintain robust payroll Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) manage payroll calendars and enforce cut-off controls.
Take ownership of HRIS and payroll systems including configuration integration and managing vendor relationships.
Ensure the integrity of payroll data accuracy of reporting and readiness for all audits.
Stay current with all relevant payroll legislation in both South Africa (BCEA SARS) and the UK (HMRC).
Manage the transition of payroll processing from multiple outsourced vendors to an in-house function.
Contribute to the strategic growth of the payroll function by identifying resource needs and implementing solutions.
