Our Client is on a mission to transform the way businesses harness data to drive smarter decisions. They are a fast-growing IT Services company and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help scale their data infrastructure and build world-class data solutions that power the heart of their business
What Youll Do
As a Senior Data Engineer youll be a key contributor to the design development and optimization of data pipelines and platforms. Youll work closely with data scientists analysts and software engineers to ensure data quality accessibility and reliability
Key Responsibilities
- Architect build and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time)
- Develop and optimize data models and data lake/warehouse solutions
- Work with big data technologies (Spark Kafka etc.) and cloud services (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Implement data governance security and compliance best practices
- Mentor junior data engineers and help define best engineering practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business goals
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python SQL and distributed data systems
- Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g. Airflow dbt Snowflake Redshift BigQuery)
- Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT processes data warehousing and data lake architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g. Git)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ML pipelines and MLOps
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR HIPAA etc.)
- Prior experience in your industry e.g. fintech healthtech e-commerce
