About the Role
We are seeking aStaff Data Engineer to join our Platform division. Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering you will design and implement scalable complex data pipelines and infrastructure to power our data products.
As a senior member of the team youll collaborate closely with data scientists software engineers and product managers to enhance the reliability and performance of our data systems while influencing the enterprise-wide data architecture. You will also mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in data engineering.
What Youll Do
- Design develop and maintain scalable cost-effective and reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with product and customer success teams.
- Architect and implement data storage solutions (data lakes warehouses real-time processing systems) and supporting cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize pipelines for performance scalability cost-efficiency and automation.
- Ensure data quality integrity and security across all systems.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools technologies and processes.
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams for seamless deployment monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Document workflows and processes for knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Stay current on industry trends in data engineering ML and cloud computing.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
What You Bring to the Team
- 5 years of hands-on experience with data software development.
- Experience with AlayaCares stack (Python PHP AWS).
- Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science mathematics or related fields.
- Strong skills in DBT SQL Python Snowflake Iceberg Spark and AWS (ECS S3 Aurora RDS).
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka Kinesis and Flink.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in dimensional data modeling and semantic layer design.
- Strong collaboration communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Mindset encouraging transparency accountability and trust.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare home health or medical devices.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts & tools.
- Bilingual in French and English.

Location and Work Model
