Environmental Scientist Technologist or Engineer-in-Training

The Liability Management & Restoration (LM&R) service line is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist Technologist or Engineer EIT.
This position will be based in the Edmonton Alberta and contribute to the continued growth and success of the LM&R service line. The successful candidate will support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination environmental monitoring water and soil sampling of remediation and decommissioning sites.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Perform 60% various types of fieldwork including but not limited to surface water/groundwater monitoring and sampling soil sampling drilling test pitting remedial excavations and reclamation.
Participate and support field programs and all aspects of project execution. Perform tasks as requested efficiently and accurately using standard methods andtechniques.
Preparation of workplans and costestimates.
Support environmental investigationsincludingdrillingtest pittinglogging samplingand monitoring wellinstallations.
Support remediation programs including planning subcontractor management andexecution.
Support groundwater and surface watermonitoring.
On-site safety supervision and associateddocumentation.
Track and report on fieldactivity. Coordinate the procurement of project supplies and contractorservices.
Report preparationincludingwriting compilingsupportingdocumentationanddata review.
Assist with training and mentoring juniorstaff.
Travel as required for various field programs.
