Job Summary

Quality Engineer

Full-time

Rushville IN

Ensure all components consistently meet customer and internal quality standards. Lead defect reduction and process improvement efforts; prevent nonconforming parts from reaching the customer. Partner with engineering production and suppliers from new product launch through mass production.

What you will be doing as a Quality engineer:

Interpret engineering drawings customer specifications and technical requirements to validate final product conformance
Manage and monitor QA process controls for incoming materials components and finished cast parts
Lead nonconformance investigations using structured problem solving (8D 5Why Fishbone) and implement corrective/preventive actions
Audit suppliers work with them to prevent defects upstream and act as technical liaison with customers and suppliers
Lead continuous improvement (e.g. KAIZEN) to reduce scrap rework and improve yield and efficiency
Support new product launches: crossfunctional coordination safe launch planning pre and postlaunch verification
Collaborate with production tooling maintenance and engineering to resolve quality issues quickly and permanently

What you will need as a Quality Engineer:

Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
5 years of experience in manufacturing with emphasis on automotive preferred.
Strong technical expertise: ISO 9001 IATF 16949 APQP PPAP control plans FMEA SPC Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
