Description:
Radiology Technologist
Under the direction of a Radiologist performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and Produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Documents patient history prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist. Maintains courtesy professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients staff and physicians.
- High schooldiploma or equivalent; Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.
- Working knowledge of anatomy andprinciples of physics electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
