Job Description
Value Added Distributors is looking for a driven hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join their team of experts in custom hose building at their Chambersburg PA location. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their management skills as a Customer Service Associate helping to open a new location for our company.
This position is full-time and reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for planning organizing and directing multiple functional areas. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of products to internal and external customers. The Customer Service Representative will determine the various unit structures and allocate essential resources along with participating in strategic planning for their respective region.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales Manager to design and implement a marketing strategy containing measurable goals.
- Monitor customer accounts and review margins.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
- Assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment recording shipment data.
- Data entry and database management.
- Process customer Purchase Orders.
- Create a culture of sense of urgency and disciplined adherence to support customer quality and delivery expectations while achieving profitability targets.
- Manage the performance of branch operations.
- Build effective working relationships with customers direct reports peers managers vendors etc.
- Embrace the Continuous Improvement activities and promotes employee empowerment while working to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Responsible either directly or indirectly for the procuring of materials supplies or any other items necessary for the daily operation.
- Ability to operate a new and developing branch and market.
- Ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Manufacturing knowledge (Fluid Power/Industrial Sales) is a plus.
- Previous experience in the Value Added Sales model preferred.
- Application and troubleshooting experience with fluid power and systems preferred.
- Current sales affiliation in the market is a plus.
