Job Description
Your mission
- Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects
- Independent planning and execution of research projects within the field of membrane proteins (GPCRs ion-channels transporters) and challenging soluble proteins
- Evaluation of new technology and/or equipment to constantly improve the membrane protein platform
- Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans SOPs scientific presentations technical reports)
- Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues customers and business partners
Your profile
- PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record
- Strong acquaintance with regard to structure-based construct design expression and purification of membrane proteins and soluble proteins.
- Profound knowledge in structural biology e.g. Xray and/or cryoEM
- Hands-on experience in expression and purification of membrane and soluble proteins in bacterial insect and/or mammalian cells for structural and biophysical applications.
- Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
- Independent service-oriented way of working with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
