Occupational Therapist Travel Position
Location: Mesa AZ
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $2365/week
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a healthcare team in Mesa AZ on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with physical cognitive or developmental challenges helping them improve daily living skills and achieve greater independence. The ideal candidate is adaptable patient-focused and skilled in providing therapy across diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess functional abilities therapy needs and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve self-care fine motor skills mobility and participation in daily activities.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on therapy objectives safety practices and adaptive equipment use.
- Document evaluations treatment sessions and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated patient-centered care.
- Support patients in achieving independence and improving quality of life through evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent occupational therapy experience in a healthcare setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication organizational and clinical reasoning skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach to care.
