Become part of the growing Avionics FPGA/ASIC team. This position is for a motivated Electrical (or Computer) Engineering Student Employee that will be involved in the architecture design implementation verification and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital systems that incorporate FPGAs and ASICs into a product solution. This is for a spring (January start) and summer (early to mid-August end) co-op. You would need to take the spring semester off. As a Student Employee in this organization you will be employing best practice design methodologies supporting our next generation of Avionics Products in addition to numerous products enterprise-wide. Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10%). This role is onsite in Cedar Rapids IA. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

  • You will work with Video and Image processing devices to meet systems requirements.
  • You will develop products in accordance with DO-254 DAL A certification and participate in certification activities.
  • You will work on requirements capture decomposition and traceability.
  • You will work on ASIC/FPGA digital design and/or verification and ASIC/FPGA verification using inspection analysis simulation and test methods.
  • You will assist with RTL coding and simulation in VHDL Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • You will work with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering Program Management internal leadership and customers.

  • You will learn the technologies of today and tomorrow which we count on to maintain world leadership in the avionics industry.
  • You will learn all phases of the hardware product life cycle from requirements through to verification while employing the company engineering processes to produce high quality products.
  • You will learn the requirements for product certification required by federal agencies.
  • You will learn how to establish and maintain a computing module platform product line with a broad base of customers.
