Role:
To assist the Credit Union in achieving its Service Mission to deliver Total Member Delight in each and every service interaction with both internal and external members. A key component of this external service is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an effective credit union product addition the position will assist members with their financial transactions involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Cross-sell and refer credit union products and services.
- Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services and direct members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Receive and process member financial transactions either in person or through the mail/night drop including but not limited to deposits withdrawals and loan payments; verify cash and check endorsements; sell money orders official checks and stamps to members; transfer amounts from member accounts as directed.
- Balance cash drawer and daily transactions prepare cash sheet and bundle work that is sent to the Accounting department nightly.
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to filing computer input and answering the telephone.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Deliver member service that meets Quality Loop standards.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization generally regarding routine matters for purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills: Calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Operate money and coin counters photocopier telephone and other office equipment as needed. Must be good with number and name detail.
Physical Requirements: Job requires standing for long periods of time and ability to lift and move up to 50lbs of coin.
Position Type: Part Time
Hours: Varies as needed. Under 30 hours per week.
Current Schedule: Varies
Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour. Position also eligible for quarterly incentives and annual bonus.
Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.
