Front Desk Clerk (On-Call Shift Work)
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
This is an onsite role located in San Francisco CA.
About this Position
Were seeking reliable and compassionate Front Desk Clerks to support communities within the affordable housing sector in San Francisco. This is a shift-based on-call role with coverage across day swing and graveyard shifts with the highest need for overnight this role youll help create a safe welcoming and supportive environment for residentsmany of whom are transitioning from homelessness or housing insecurity.
Job Responsibilities
Greet residents visitors and guests while maintaining a professional and compassionate front desk presence
Manage building access to ensure resident safety and security
Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system
Maintain guest logs transfer records between shifts and document incidents
Respond appropriately to emergencies and connect residents with available community resources
Job Skills/Requirements
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Professional empathetic demeanor with residents guests and staff
Reliable and detail-oriented with comfort enforcing building policies
Experience answering phones; prior experience in customer service affordable housing hospitality or security preferred
Additional Information
Shifts Available: Day: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Swing: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM Grave: 12:00 AM 8:00 AM (highest need for coverage)
Flexibility to work across multiple affordable housing communities in San Francisco
On-call coverage provides opportunities for consistent hours and growth
Pay Range
$23/hour
