Description

Position Summary

The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for an assigned Area ensuring seamless integration across Branch functions. This role oversees shared services manages high-level client relationships drives profitability and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality security services. The Director of Operations also plays a key role in client start-ups service transitions and retention initiatives while coaching and developing field managers and supervisors.

This position carries full operational and profit & loss accountability for a designated portfolio of business including direct oversight of approximately 2000 weekly service hours (HPW).

Key Responsibilities

Client & Service Delivery

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive-level client representatives ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service; provide regular updates to the Area Vice President.
  • Meet with client representatives to review performance resolve concerns and address operational needs.
  • Oversee client start-ups contract negotiations post orders and security assessments.
  • Implement client satisfaction initiatives and ensure ongoing retention efforts.

Operational Leadership

  • Manage shared services across multiple Branches (payroll HR accounts receivable and related functions).
  • Provide direct support to District Managers (DMs) through guidance auditing billing and operational oversight.
  • Manage chargebacks auditing processes and revenue recovery efforts to safeguard profitability.
  • Resolve operational issues and ensure alignment with Area strategy and leadership.
  • Develop implement and monitor KPIs and service quality metrics; drive corrective action as needed.
  • Oversee compliance with fleet (vehicle) programs and where applicable weapons accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws policies and safety standards.

Financial Management

  • Maintain full profit and loss accountability for assigned portfolio.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to drive efficiencies and profitability.
  • Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with the Area Vice President.
  • Authorize and control expenditures for equipment supplies vehicles and uniforms.
  • Drive financial integrity by auditing records monitoring billing and retrieving outstanding receivables.

People Leadership

  • Recruit train coach and develop high-performing managers and supervisors.
  • Provide guidance on scheduling staffing payroll and cost management.
  • Create a professional inclusive and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews administer discipline when necessary and promote employee engagement and retention.

Organizational Support

  • Collaborate with Area and Regional leadership on key initiatives legal issues and HR matters.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews strategic planning sessions and corporate initiatives.
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents on an on-call basis.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $80000 $90000 annually
  • Car Allowance: $1000 per month
  • Travel: Approximately 30%

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associates degree and 4 years of management experience in security operations or business management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous security industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in P&L oversight auditing billing and financial accountability.
  • Experience supporting managers and teams in a multi-branch or multi-site environment.
