Purchasing Administrator
Salary: Up to 26000 per annum


Location: Aston Birmingham

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm

Contract Type: Full-time Permanent

Holiday: 25 days Bank Holidays


Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Purchasing Administrator to join their busy procurement team in Aston. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and is eager to develop their career in purchasing and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase orders accurately and maintain up-to-date records
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Resolve invoice queries and discrepancies efficiently
  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing Supervisor and Manager
  • Track and ensure timely delivery of goods and services

Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience in a purchasing procurement or administrative role
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes; experience with MRP systems or other planning tools is highly desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (comfortable with formulas VLOOKUP pivot tables and general data manipulation)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Positive team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable liaising with both internal teams and external suppliers
