Senior Rail Systems Engineer

STV is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Engineer for our Rail Systems department at our Dallas TX office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support multidisciplinary rail systems engineering efforts including traction power communications signals and SCADA.

• Develop and review technical specifications design documents drawings and reports for rail transit systems.

• Coordinate with clients contractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated system solutions.

• Perform systems integration interface management and system verification and validation activities.

• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and support project delivery and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Systems Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail systems engineering preferably in a consulting or transit agency setting.

• Knowledge of transit infrastructure including signaling traction power communications and control systems.

• Experience with industry standards (IEEE AREMA NFPA etc.) and systems integration processes.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
