Physical Therapist LTC/SNF Travel Position
Location: Mount Olive NC
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Days
Pay: $2325/week
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Mount Olive NC on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will assess residents design personalized treatment plans and deliver therapy services aimed at improving mobility restoring function and enhancing independence. The ideal candidate is patient-centered adaptable and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine residents functional abilities and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening balance training gait training and mobility exercises.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on therapy objectives safety practices and use of assistive devices.
- Document evaluations treatment progress and outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Support independence safety and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication assessment and organizational skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric populations.
