Right now were a busy backpackers-style spot buzzing with international travellers tour groups and locals passing through. But heres the exciting part were also on the journey to transform into a boutique hotel. That means youll get the fun laid-back atmosphere of a backpackers now with the chance to grow into more hotel-style service as we upgrade.

What Youll Be Doing

No two nights at the Waterloo are the same but a typical shift could include:
- Checking in late-night arrivals (sometimes tired sometimes chatty sometimes both).
- Giving guests a hand with luggage directions or the odd unusual request.
- Keeping an eye on the place making sure everyones safe and the building is secure.
- Answering calls sorting wake-up requests and passing on info to the morning crew.
- Light cleaning tidying common areas and setting up breakfast so the day team starts off right.
- Dealing with the unexpected because at a backpackers theres always a surprise or two!

And as the Waterloo Hotel levels up youll also get to learn and take on extra hotel duties think room service setups event prep and giving guests that boutique touch.

What Were Looking For

Were not after robots in suits were after real people with personality. Youll fit right in if you:
- Are friendly approachable and easy-going.
- Stay calm when things get busy or a little unpredictable.
- Are comfortable working solo overnight but still a strong team player.
- Enjoy variety because youll never get bored here.
- Have some hospitality or customer service experience (hotel experience is a bonus not a must).
- Are excited to grow alongside us as we move into hotel territory.
