Job Summary
Job Title: Powder Coating Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Tech to join our sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing team. This role is responsible for applying powder and other coatings using various painting techniques and equipment ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply powder coating and other finishes to surfaces using appropriate equipment
Prepare surfaces through sanding masking and cleaning
Operate paint ovens spray washers and related machinery
Maintain a clean work area and conduct preventative equipment maintenance
Track daily paint usage and manage powder inventory
Inspect finished products to ensure quality
Support additional tasks or cross-train in other departments as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of painting or coating experience preferred
Ability to use paint equipment hand tools and read work instructions
Strong attention to detail and teamwork
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
