How youll contribute
A Cath Lab Technicianwho excels in this role provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care revise plan as indicated by the patients response to treatment and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team provider patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patients rights.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on call policy.
- Critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
