DescriptionThe vocal instructor will lead fun age-appropriate activities such as solo and group singing call and response vocal techniques and music exploration. Students will build musical confidence and contribute to vocal performances throughout the school year such as TMS and site specific events in addition to our End-of-Year Showcase.
- Design and deliver engaging age-appropriate lesson plans that focus on vocal technique stage presence and expressive performance.
- Teach students proper breathing diction pitch tone and vocal health practices to support safe sustainable singing.
- Lead students in warm-ups exercises and repertoire study that strengthen vocal ability and artistic expression.
Guide students in building confidence and stage presence preparing them for live performances and showcases. - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration peer learning and artistic risk-taking.
- Help students explore a diverse range of musical styles and genres expanding their vocal versatility and appreciation.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to support both personal growth and artistic development.
- Encourage students to connect their vocal work to self-expression and storytelling reinforcing the emotional and communicative power of music.
Compensation

This position reports to the Department of Education and Community Programs - Manager and Associate Manager
Requirements - Background in vocal/general music education
