Schedule: this is a full-time day shift role that will work 3 12-hour shifts/week including rotating weekends and holidays.

This role will work in our busy 26-bed Med/Surg/Peds department that primarily works with adult and geriatric patients but could include neonatal and pediatric patients.
How youll contribute
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Tele Tech who excels in this role:
Performs basic nursing procedures including input and output activities of daily living application of simple dressings and obtains and documents patient vital signs including temperature blood pressure weight respiration and pulse.
May assist with collecting specimens and applying restraints. Helps patients get into and out of chairs lifts patients raises patients in beds and turns the patients.
Communicates changes in patients condition to the appropriate staff.
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate patient record. Documents as outlined in nursing standards.
Maintains a safe comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Demonstrates sensitivity to patients comfort and privacy.
Receives and screens calls mail and visitors routes callers takes messages and provides routine information in a courteous professional manner.
Assists nurses and physicians with procedures as requested including transcribing orders.

What were looking for
Applicants must have a current NV CNA license (although we will accept an exam status of processing for up to four months after hire with supporting documentation reflecting passed). Additional requirements include:
American Heart Association Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire (non-AHA BLS certification valid only from date of hire for 6 months or up until the date of expiration not to exceed 6 months)
