Job Description

Job Title: Locum Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: Band 6 (AHP Grade)

Location: Wood End Centre Judge Heath Lane Hayes UB3

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Rate: Competitive dependent on experience

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the team at Wood End Centre in Hayes. This locum role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive community setting delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to children across boroughs surrounding Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention for children with communication and language needs
  • Deliver therapy services across schools and community settings
  • Collaborate with families educators and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
  • Travel between sites as required

Requirements

  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle (essential due to travel requirements)
  • Experience working in paediatric and educational settings (preferred)
  • Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
