About the role:
Supported by an Ultrasound team of 7 staff you will provide leadership and management to the Ultrasound section. Your focus will be on delivering patient-centred imaging services to patients and carers from the Tamworth region ensuring optimal health outcomes.
You will act as the liaison between clinical teams Radiologists Imaging Department staff and other section managers. The role currently operates on a 5-day roster from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with on-call duties after hours and on weekends. Future planning includes transition to a 7-day roster to better serve the community.
Tamworth Medical Imaging provides a supportive environment with clinical staff including Radiographers Sonographers Nurses Radiologists and administration staff who offer mentoring education and training to help you succeed in this role.

Tamworth is the central hub of the New England Northwest with a population just under 60000. Known as the country music and equine capital of Australia the city offers a rich cultural heritage alongside a thriving agricultural community producing lamb wool beef and a variety of pastures. You will be joining a well-established imaging department comprising 23 Radiographers Sonographers Nurses Radiologists and administrative staff who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional health services to the local community. The team environment is supportive with ongoing opportunities for professional development and multidisciplinary collaboration.
About you:
The successful candidate will be a motivated and hardworking professional who excels in a fast-paced clinical environment. You should demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of clinical staff along with excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams including Radiologists clinicians and administrative personnel. You will have the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team culture and a patient-focused approach ensuring compassionate care to individuals and families. Flexibility and resilience to manage on-call duties and adapt to evolving roster demands are essential.
