Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Clinical Care Attendant to join our Express Care this role you will support healthcare providers in delivering efficient and high-quality care to patients seeking immediate medical attention. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication skills attention to detail and a compassionate approach to patient care. The role requires Certified Medical Assistant EMT Paramedic or LPN certification/licensure as direct patient care is the major component of this role.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations treatments and minor procedures.
- Record vital signs patient history and symptoms accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms ensuring they are clean stocked and ready for use.
- Administer basic treatments such as wound care splinting and administering injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide patients with post-visit instructions and guidance on follow-up care.
- Assist with diagnostic tests such as collecting lab specimens or performing EKGs under the direction of medical staff.
- Facilitate patient flow by ensuring timely rooming of patients and managing appointment schedules.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and provide education on self-care and health maintenance.
- Ensure the clinic complies with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments handling referrals and answering patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program and current licensure/certification for your scope of practice.
- LPN EMT Paramedic or CMA will be considered for this position.
- Must be accredited program for CMA - certification required NCCT AAMA NHA or AMT
- 1-2 years work experience in a Family Practice setting Urgent Care or related field
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter.
