Shift: Day Shift Rotating hours (8:00 AM 4:00 PM / 9:00 AM 5:00 PM) Occasional Saturday No holidays
Duration: 13-week assignment
Pay Rate: $2250 $2437.50 per week
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Radiology Mammography Technologistfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Falmouth MA.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and screening mammography including 3D tomosynthesis and stereotactic procedures.
Conduct bone density (DEXA) exams including spine hip and forearm.
Perform and document daily quality control (QA) checks; maintain MQSA compliance.
Ensure exam rooms are prepared with necessary equipment and supplies.
Verify exam requisitions prior images and documentation for accuracy.
Educate patients on procedures and obtain relevant medical history.
Refer patients with new symptoms to the nurse practitioner for evaluation.
Ensure proper patient identification and accurate image labeling.
Manage PACS data scan protocols and ensure timely transfer of images.
Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Maintain service logs and promptly report equipment malfunctions.
Stay current with continuing education professional certifications and licensure.
Provide compassionate patient-centered care and maintain professional relationships.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography (required).
Active Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist License (Radiology & Mammography).
Current BLS certification.
Proficiency in 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis).
Prior experience with DEXA scans preferred; must become proficient if not certified.
Advanced ARRT Bone Densitometry certification preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with PACS RIS and mammography-specific software systems.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and patient confidentiality standards.
