Location: Leicester Office / Work From Home two days per week

What will you be doing at Atlas



As an Accounts Assistant at Atlas Hotels you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions reconciliations and reporting. You will work closely with hotel teams suppliers and the wider finance team to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and control whilst providing excellent service and support to stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Support the completion of monthly purchase ledger payment runs supplier statement reconciliations and aged creditor reconciliations.
  • Main point of contact for queries from an allocation of vendors.
  • Maintain cash books receipts and payments ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Act as a point of contact for hotel managers and staff answering queries and resolving requests efficiently.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager Accounts Payable Manager & Senior Accounts Assistants
  • Cover for colleagues during holidays and absences to ensure continuity of service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
  • Be accountable for your own development.


What skills / Qualifications can you show us

Other essential skills and qualities:

  • Experience working within fast-paced finance or accounting team.
  • Strong knowledge of transactional finance processes (invoices reconciliations payments).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Methodical organised and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate and confident using accounting software (Business Central Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A professional approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Qualified by experience or part qualified in AAT CIMA or ACCA (preferred but not essential).
