Job Summary
Medical Assistant PRN (as needed)
Schedule: This is a PRN (as needed) role that will fill in for full-time and part-time staff at all of our clinics. Our clinics are typically open M-F from 8 am 5 pm.

How youll contribute
A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies including reordering stocking cleaning and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned including filing reception scheduling data entry and patient registration.
- Administers patient injections and takes patients vitals.
- Obtains authorization for consults referrals and procedures and ABNs per policies.
- Evaluates chart documentation for coding purposes applies official guidelines and determines and applies appropriate codes. Document all charges on fee ticket to ensure 100% capture of all charges.

What were looking for
- Education: Graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification: American Heart Association BLS certification required within 60-days of hire.
- License: NV Department of Health and Human Services -Office Laboratory Assistant License (requires application submitted upon hire. Status pending for up to 6 months).
- Experience: 1 2 years medical office experience preferred. Previous Medical Assistant and front office experience preferred.
- Other Requirements: Excellent customer service skills. Typing and grammatical skills. Demonstrates attitude of cooperation and professionalism.
