Job Description

As a Mobile Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the International Private Bank you are part of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with demonstrated applied experience in mobile application development.
- Extensive experience developing mobile applications using modern frameworks and libraries (e.g. Swift/SwiftUI/Combine for iOS Kotlin/Jetpack Compose/Coroutines for Android).
- Practical knowledge of mobile platform security best practices including secure data storage encryption and authentication.
- Experience building reusable libraries frameworks components and APIs for mobile platforms.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in backend development using languages such as Java or Python including designing developing and integrating robust server-side logic and APIs to support mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with database development and management
- Practical experience in backend cloud engineering and maintenance using platforms such as AWS Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry including deploying scaling and monitoring cloud-based applications.
- Experience developing debugging and maintaining code in a large-scale corporate environment including working with database querying languages.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as CI/CD resiliency and security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within technical disciplines such as cloud artificial intelligence machine learning or mobile technologies.
