Job Summary

**Job Description:**

- Lead a community program for vascular surgery.
- Provide advanced care for blood vessel problems including:
- Abdominal and chest aneurysms
- Carotid artery issues
- Access for hemodialysis
- Peripheral artery disease and limb saving procedures
- Perform surgeries and other minimally invasive procedures.
- Treat vascular conditions with medicine lifestyle changes and other non-surgical methods.

**Schedule:**
- Work 2 days in clinic and 3 days doing procedures/surgeries each week.
- Take 10 night and weekend on-call shifts per month (daytime coverage is not included).

**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise advanced practice team members who help with vascular care.
- Work with a team that includes cardiologists interventional radiologists and other specialists.
- Help develop and grow the program.
- Provide care focused on patients in a community setting.
- Educate and advise patients and their families about treatment options and health.
- Keep good communication with referring doctors.
- Participate in activities at the department college and medical center.
- Teach and train medical students residents fellows nurses and other healthcare professionals.

**Rehabilitation and Vascular Services Include:**
- Stress echo tests
- Various stress tests for cardiac function
- EKGs (heart tests)
- Cardiac catheterization
- Vascular testing
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Emergency cardiac care

**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Eligible (within 5 years to qualify) or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery REQUIRED (no exceptions)
- Must have or be willing to obtain an Ohio medical license REQUIRED
- Must obtain DEA certification before starting work REQUIRED
- Must have a clean malpractice history and license REQUIRED (no exceptions)

**Certification Requirements:**
- Board Certified
- Board Eligible

**State License Requirements:**
- Must have a license to practice in Ohio.
