Job Summary

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our central Trust Finance team on a fixed term basis for 6 months with the possibility of this extending beyond the 6 months. The role will be supporting schools in Didcot and Reading so the candidate will need to be able to travel to both locations.

As a Finance Manager you will work as part of the finance team led by the Finance Partner to deliver an expert service to our schools including:

  • managing the delivery of the monthly management reports
  • overseeing transactional processing within the academies
  • preparing and monitoring budgets
  • liaising with school-based colleagues as required

We can offer hybrid working or you can choose to be fully based at Aureus School in Didcot.Regular visits to schools in the region will be necessary. We are looking for someone to work 30-36 hours a week 43 weeks a year (term time plus 4 weeks) but also open to hearing from professionals looking to work 52 weeks. What we are looking for

  • AAT qualified and beyond or QBE with relevant experience
  • Experience of producing financial accounts using financial systems
  • Experience of working within the education or charity sector
  • Experience of working within a Finance Department
  • Experience of producing regular forecasts

The Details

Salary:Senior Specialist 33426 FTE (salary to be pro-ratad depending on working hours/weeks agreed)

Contract type: Fixed term for 6 months
