Overview:Praescient Analytics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Threat Analyst to join our team providing critical threat mitigation and monitoring services in support of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and protective intelligence with a proven ability to analyze and report on threats in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct continuous real-time monitoring of open-source information including the deep and dark web to identify threats targeting senior leaders personnel and facilities.
Utilize a range of advanced tools including Babel Street Palantir/i2 ANB Obsidian and Clearview AI to perform network link analysis geospatial tracking and facial recognition.
Analyze social and behavioral sentiment to assess risk levels and connections between threat actors.
Produce clear concise and actionable daily reports with detailed risk ratings and recommended mitigations.
Collaborate with the team to provide immediate electronic notification of imminent threats.
Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments and ad-hoc searches as requested identifying and archiving publicly available personally identifiable information (PII) of designated personnel.
Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to automate monitoring and uncover hidden threats.
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret clearance.
3-7 years of experience in OSINT dark web monitoring or protective intelligence within a DHS Intelligence Community (IC) or law enforcement context.
Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 rotational schedule.
Demonstrated expertise in sentiment/behavioral analysis network link analysis and incident escalation.
Proficiency with threat monitoring tools specifically:
Babel Street (OSINT/dark web)
Palantir/i2 ANB (network analysis)
Obsidian (geospatial)
Clearview AI (facial recognition)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create high-quality analytical reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with law enforcement or intelligence analysis.
Experience with digital forensics tools to recover deleted messages and content.
Familiarity with cybersecurity awareness and privacy training as required by the contract.
