About the job Drive the refinement of the risk management process while supporting the business

Your primary responsibility in the position as second-line Risk Manager is to drive and ensure the refinement of the risk management system in Tryg. This encompasses among other things:

Improve existing risk management framework
Facilitate the update of Trygs risk appetite
Develop Trygs policies and guidelines within the area of risk management
Conduct assurance activities ensuring that the business adheres to sound risk and control management
Contribute to the preparation of ORSA RSR and SFCR reports

The position also involves serving as a Risk Partner for business areas within Tryg. As a Risk Partner you will have the following responsibilities:

Support business areas in risk handling and risk reporting processes
Challenge and support improvements to the control environment
Monitor handling of operational incidents
Manage stakeholders ensuring timely and fit-for-purpose communication
Execute and deliver assurance reviews according to the plan and in line with the agreed methodology

About you Communication curiosity and business know-how

To succeed in the position of Risk Manager we expect you to have:

A minimum of three years of work experience in risk management
Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing in a Scandinavian language as well as English
Strong stakeholder management skills
Business knowledge of the insurance sector
Curiosity and eagerness to learn

About us Risk Management A team with multiple stakeholders in the business

The position of second line Risk Manager is placed within the Risk Management Function. Our focus is to align ways of working and ensure that the risk management methodology is implemented throughout Tryg.

The risk management methodology at Tryg spans multiple risk categories and is subject to regulatory requirements. A key task for the Risk Management Function is to establish Tryg-specific risk management requirements ensuring compatibility with Trygs business model and strategy.

We operate as a team of five employees based in Ballerup Århus and Malmø. We prioritize team spirit employee development orderliness and authenticity. Additionally we value having fun and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Location Where is the role placed geographically

As second-line Risk Manager you will be placed in either Ballerup or Århus (Denmark) depending on your place of residence. Some travel is to be expected.
