Job Description

This is a Probationary/Tenure Track Position (Not a Fixed Term Position)

The Clinical Mental Health & School Counseling (CACREP) programs invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in a Masters Level Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Graduate Program (CACREP).

St. Cloud State Universitys CACREP faculty members are seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Counselor Education to join our team. The current faculty welcomes individuals who are excited to work in a collaborative team-based environment. The CMHC & School Counseling program provides students with training opportunities in the state-of-the-art training clinic for the College of Health and Wellness Professions (CHWP). The CMHC program faculty have completed an 8-year accreditation and has renewed self-study for 2024 standards under review with CACREP. We have long-standing partnerships with multiple professional communities and are known for a genuine commitment to diversity and innovation. The Counseling program has a strong record with interdisciplinary initiatives to better support wellness initiatives (integrated behavioral health 1st year nursing students supporting student parents who participate with our on-campus child care center and mental health training with criminal justice students International Students nd with the YMCA for youth group programming. The CMHC program is a cohort model program that offers primarily daytime classes. The program is housed in the department of Community Psychology Counseling & Family Therapy in the School of Health and Human Services. Strong or successful applicants will have a background in teaching supervision and research in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. Service to the department School of Health and Human Services and St. Cloud State University will also be required
