The Community Engagement Coordinator is a grant-funded position that is renewable based on continuation of project funding. This position balances outward-facing engagement with backend program coordination by supporting data entry verifying documentation invoicing and cultivating relationships with community partners. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring contract compliance maintaining accurate records and advancing MWVCAAs mission by connecting vulnerable populations to resources.
Pay rate is inclusive of a 2% Bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree in Human Services Business Management or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Two years of social services experience preferably direct service delivery with a vulnerable client population.
- Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
- Driver qualifications required for this position. Valid driver license insured vehicle available for use on the job and a satisfactory drive record for the past 3 years are required.
- Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are required for this position.
- Basic proficiencies in computers and MS Office products database software and web tools. Must possess excellent planning organization and time management skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to proficiently read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Relationship Management
- Identifies and reaches populations with unmet needs for poverty services in line with MWVCAAs mission and values. Establishes connections with staff in critical roles for facilitating referrals to MWVCAA for services.
- Cultivates relationships across diverse communities to connect the community and partner agencies to Community Action programs initiatives and services.
Program Coordination
- Monitors current contracts for compliance spend-down rates and HRSN participation.
- Works within client management software to evaluate all Agency programs as well as recipient data quality.
- Ensures client management software entries comply with Agency data system requirements.
Reports
- Maintain logs and issues monthly reports on community engagement and outreach activities to inform colleagues managers directors and senior leaders across the organization of community engagement progress.
- Helps inform MWVCAA on successful and replicable community engagement practices as well as barriers to overcome.
- Assists with internal and external reports.
- Complies with MWVCAA safety and personnel policies including punctuality and attendance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory duties in this position.

- Occasional hazards associated with trash outdoor grass/brush biohazards and malodorous air.
