What you will do:

As an Accountant Associate at EDP Renewables Polska you will be responsible for supporting the work related to the General Accounting process of the Global Business Service particularly the accounting process of renewable generation companies in Poland (wind and solar). The position will be performed from Poland (Warsaw) with a report to a manager in Spain and collaboration with colleagues in Poland and Portugal as part of the international accounting team.

General responsibilities:

  • Keeping accounting records in the SAP system (invoices/purchases fixed assets sales accruals and deferrals).
  • Accounts reconciliation.
  • Monthly analysis of trial balances.
  • Accounting monitoring and control of financial investments.
  • Provision of accounting information to support tax assessments.
  • Preparation and analysis of the annual accounts/financial statements of companies.
  • Control of the balances and transactions between the Groups companies
  • Preparation of information for internal control and audits.
  • Participate in projects and collaborate with the various areas of the organization as needed.
  • Provide solution to standardize automate improve and simply processes/procedures.
  • Issue and post sales invoices.

What are we looking for:

1. Academic Skills:

  • University Degree (Includes Bachelor or other undergraduate degrees). Bachelors degree in business administration economics management accounting finance or similar.

2. Professional Experience:

  • Experience level: 6 to 10 years.
  • Highly valued knowledge of IFRS Standards.
  • Highly valued knowledge of Polish GAAP / Accounting standards

3. Specific Knowledge:

  • Mastery of Office tools.
  • Highly valued practical knowledge of the SAP system (FI AA MM SD modules)
  • Knowledge of Power Query or other automation tools is also valued.

4. Languages:

  • English advanced level.
  • Polish proficient

5. Skills:
