General Description: Responsible for conducting incoming in-process and final inspections of welded product utilizing drawings specifications and inspection sheets. Generate nonconformance reports and communicate with internal cross functional team of Project Engineers Buyers and Project Managers. Contributes to the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. Sets up and operates measuring tools (caliper micrometers etc.) Conducts internal process audits for compliance with the quality management system. Verifies that all necessary paperwork required for quality release for a product is supplied by vendor.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for conducting incoming in-process and final inspections of welded equipment.

Creates inspection reports for incoming in-process and final inspections conducted at supplier sites.

Participates/conducts quality management system audits at suppliers and internal offices utilizing ISO 9001 standard.

Manages non-conformance reporting system to analyze quality problems conducts root cause investigations and determines appropriate corrective/preventive action(s).

Facilitates continuous improvement activities throughout the company.

Conducts supplier audits to determine their capability to provide consistent high-quality products.

Tracks suppliers performance related to quality.

Reviews project specifications to identify quality compliance requirements communicates with sales and project management department to ensure clear understanding of scope related to quality.

Education:

Bachelors degree highly preferred with 3-5 years of quality inspection experience.

Experience:

Experience in performing surface preparation and coatings inspections using NACE and SSPC standards.

Experience in performing welding inspections non-destructive examinations (NDE) at manufacturing facilities experience with standard inspection equipment such as calipers micrometers coating thickness measurement instruments etc.

Previous experience with process improvement activities procedure & instruction development supplier audits and inspection and test activities.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

MS Office.

Experience with ISO 9001 preferred.

Ability to interpret fabrication drawings weld symbols bill of materials project specifications and technical standards.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task. Licenses and/or Certifications:

CWI NACE certification highly preferred.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 20%

Salary Range:$70K-$90K DOE

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Location: Golden CO

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
