How youll contribute
A Clinical Assoicate who excels in this role:
Receptionists: answer phone calls in a timely manner greet and direct visitors.
Establish positive relationships with patient/families/visitors and all members of the healthcare team.
Report concerns accurately and concisely to appropriate care team member.
Greet physicians and assist in directing to assigned nurse.
Maintain patients thin folder.
Organize and maintain work environment.
Conemaugh Connect my chart; assist patient initial setup.
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for patient care.
Perform secretarial and technical skills required to meet unit specific requirements.
Provide Conemaugh Connect Epic support for physicians and extenders.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient hospital and employee related information.
Perform hand hygiene.
Consider factors related to safety effectiveness and cost for delivery of patient care.
Assist member of the health care team with assigned tasks that support patient care.
Actively participate in patient engagement initiatives.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and reviews meeting minutes.
Maintains positive interactions with staff on other nursing units and diagnostic testing areas.
Complete required CPR training.
Complete annual competencies/required education.
Attend annual CEP.
Complete annual suicide education.
Complete monthly in the know newsletters.
Participate in performance improvement hospital based and unit-based activities as directed.
Complete audits and AMP tracers as directed by the Nurse Manager.
Perform basic patient care needs.
Complete category 1 and 2 OSHA compliance.
