Leveraging our 35-year foundation of compiling direct mail-grade datasets Deep Sync develops data-first technologies that power marketing measurement AI and business intelligence for agencies and brands with our fully deterministic identity graph privacy-first audiences comprehensive data solutions and integrations with leading platforms and cloud providers.


Position Overview: Deep Sync is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Engineering to establish and lead our new engineering site in India. This is a unique opportunity to be the foundational leader and site head responsible for building and scaling a high-performing engineering team from the ground up. You will drive the development of cutting-edge AI-first products and platforms that are central to Deep Syncs strategic vision impacting both our customer offerings and our internal operational efficiency. This role requires a strong technical leader with a proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams fostering innovation and delivering enterprise-grade solutions in a fast-paced remote environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Leadership & Team Building: Act as the site head for Deep Syncs engineering operations in India responsible for recruiting mentoring and growing a world-class engineering team. Foster a culture of technical excellence collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • AI-First Product Development: Lead the design development and delivery of an enterprise-grade AI-first product/service that empowers customers to interact with and customize Deep Syncs identity spine. This includes intuitive interfaces for viewing the overall spine and tailoring it to their specific needs.
  • Customer Interaction Platforms: Drive the creation of innovative solutions that enable seamless customer-to-customer interaction leveraging the power of the Deep Sync identity spine to facilitate secure and valuable connections.
  • Agentic AI Platform for Operational Excellence: Spearhead the development and implementation of an advanced Agentic AI platform designed to enhance and scale various internal departments across Deep Sync including Engineering IT HR Sales and more. This platform will automate complex workflows provide intelligent insights and significantly boost organizational productivity and efficiency.
  • Technical Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the technical roadmap for your team aligning with overall company objectives. Ensure architectural integrity scalability and security of all developed solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management data science sales and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and optimize agile development methodologies best practices and engineering processes to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide strong technical guidance and mentorship to engineers fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role with a strong track record of building managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams especially in a remote or distributed setting.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies particularly in developing and deploying AI-first products and platforms.
  • Expertise in enterprise software development including architectural design scalable systems and robust API development.
  • Strong background in data solutions identity management or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy define roadmaps and execute complex projects from conception to launch.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and modern development practices (CI/CD DevOps).
  • A strong passion for innovation and a desire to leverage AI to solve complex business challenges.

Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
  • Proven experience in building and leading teams that have successfully delivered large-scale enterprise-grade software products.
  • Experience working with and scaling teams across different geographies and cultures.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities strategic thinking and a results-oriented mindset.
