We are seeking flexible dependable and compassionate Substitute Teachers to provide classroom instruction to youth in secure care facilities. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education supporting academic achievement and fostering a structured learning environment for justice-involved youth.Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Duties
- Deliver instructional content in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
- Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures to ensure consistent learning
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a safe respectful environment
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods
- Communicate with education staff regarding student progress and classroom needs
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records

Work Location: This vacancy is located at Swanson Center for Youth in Columbia LA.
Appointment Type: Part Time WAE
Work Schedule: 3 days a week. 7.5 hour shifts
Compensation: $16.00 hourly
