Part-Time MD Boys Basketball Development Coach (Grades 6-8) The Berkeley Middle Division boys Basketball Development Coach is responsible for developing student-athletes through expert coaching and training while fostering a culture of integrity passion and teamwork both on and off the field. Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct practices that emphasize player development and sportsmanship for athletes new to the sport of basketball.
- Supervise student-athletes ensuring their well-being and safety during the season.
- Attend all practices during the season.
Season Details: - Duration: Approximately late October through late January.
- Schedule: Practices for this developmental squad are two days per week.
- Breaks: No practices or games during exams or the holiday break (approximately December 11January 5)
Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Must be able to handle a high-energy environment and maintain physical endurance during training and games.
- Ability to lift move push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
