Were looking for a Janitor to help maintain our facilities and contribute to a clean safe and welcoming environment for our staff and clients.
What Youll Do
Youll perform a variety of janitorial and light maintenance duties to help keep our facilities clean and functional both inside and outside. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to support a mission-driven organization
Key Responsibilities:
Indoor Tasks:
- Clean two office buildings
- Empty garbage vacuum dust clean bathrooms and perform detailed office cleaning as needed
- Move office furniture hang shelves or bulletin boards
Outdoor Tasks:
- Basic landscaping raking and yard work
- Painting and general building upkeep
- Assist with light maintenance as assigned
Additional Duties:
- Use of cleaning supplies and yard tools
- Enter personal time sheet information
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
- Perform tasks independently or with others in a professional setting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
- Experience working independently or as part of a crew
- Must pass a background check and criminal history review
Family Outreach may conduct annual reviews of criminal background checks. All staff must report any changes in background or criminal history. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Active listening and clear communication
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic coordination and physical labor skills
- Familiarity with cleaning supplies household equipment yard tools and basic building materials
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in various weather conditions
