Job Summary

Hohl Industrial Services is currently seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to join our team! One would be responsible for providing on-site support and oversight of the companys safety program. This role will work closely with site Leadership to ensure daily safety operations audits training and overall compliance is being maintained.

Responsibilities:

Site Safety Support
- Conduct daily inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations including Corporate and specific Customer requirements.
- Assist Foremen in the completion and auditing of Daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Daily Work Plans.
- Attend job planning meetings to help incorporate safety measures into daily work activities.
- Support project leadership in ensuring proper use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Director Project Managers and Supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and site execution.
Training & Orientation
- Develop and implement site safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
- Lead safety toolbox talks in an engaging and understandable manner; ensure full attendance and maintain accurate documentation.
- Conduct on-site training as needed for job-specific topics such as forklift and aerial lift operation fall protection confined space entry etc.
- Coordinate owner-required orientation and training programs; verify attendance and documentation for site access compliance.
- Stay updated on industrys best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety protocols.
Site Audits & Compliance
- Perform regular safety inspections and field observations based on project scope and duration.
- Evaluate and document compliance in the following areas:
  - Safety Documentation: JSA/Daily Work Plans SDS sheets job site postings HASP emergency contacts.
  - Mobile Equipment: Operator qualifications inspection records.
  - PPE Usage: Ensure all personnel are using the appropriate protective equipment.
  - Site Conditions: Assess walking/working surfaces housekeeping site access.
  - Rigging & Hoisting: Review lift plans crane inspections rigging qualifications and operator/rigger/signalperson certifications.
  - Fall Protection: Ensure fall protection systems are in place and used properly.
  - Tools & Equipment: Inspect hand and power tools for safe condition and use.
  - Additional Items: Check for proper storage of compressed gas scaffold safety fire extinguisher availability necessary permits (e.g. hot work confined space) first aid kits and use of caution/danger tape.
  - Confined Space Entry: Monitor and verify safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain daily reports to the Corporate Safety Director.
All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

Three to Five (3-5) years of construction related safety experience to include but not limited to rigging confined space welding and hot work steel erection and fall protection.
OSHA 30 required but OSHA 510 preferred
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
CSM/CHST preferred
Valid Drivers License required
