Description

Join our dynamic team as a Drafter/Designer! The Drafter/Designer is responsible for creating mechanical drawings & developing 3D models. This role requires communication with many different functions within the company. The person in this role will accurately perform necessary tasks to complete 2D layout drawings as well as full 3D assembly models. The Drafter/Designer will be responsible to perform job-related drawing creation for customer dimensional drawings of different complexity from basic to full BOM constructions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and visualization skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and regard for quality.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply written standards to complete job assignments.
  • Skill using Microsoft Office applications is required especially Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong emphasis in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) coursework or experience is required.
  • Fundamental understanding and ability to apply ANSI Y14 Dimensioning standards.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • File management software experience (PLM application) preferred.
  • Experience with data management applications such as PDM.
  • Experience using Solidworks/Creo software (formerly CoCreate) is a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • An associates degree in drafting/design with mechanical design experience using CAD software or an equivalent three years experience is required.
  • Mechanical design experience or coursework is a plus.
