Kay 3 Night Shift Clinical Staff Leader.

Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager the CSL is accountable for promoting high quality patient care through efficient and effective management of a defined area/unit. Provides operational oversight quality oversight staff development and serves as a liaison between patient/family staff and other health team members. As the designated unit/area leader the CSL collaborates with the house supervisor managers CSLs and RSLs of other areas to efficiently and effectively integrate high-quality patient care delivery.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 2 years of clinical experience
  • If the Bachelors is not in Nursing then Masters must be in Nursing.
  • Pediatric oncology experience preferred
  • Some experience in planning and managing delivery (including resources scheduling and timelines) preferred.
  • Some experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Some supervisory/ management experience managing/ mentoring early career team members preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel) and other computer applications.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.

Licensure Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

  • (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
  • (LC: RN-TN RN-MISS RN-ARK or RN-KY) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Licensure Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:

  • Any Magnet approved relevant clinical or leadership certification required within 3 years of hire.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86320 - $154960 per year for the role of Kay 3 Night Shift Clinical Staff Leader.
