Job Description
Role:Gas Heating Engineer
Contract type:Permanent
Working hours:37 hours per week. You will be required to work these hours in accordance with the needs and requirements of the service between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday to Friday
Worker Type:Off-site (Base location:Harvey Road NG8 3BB)
Salary:Grade H-40777 - 44075 per annum
Location:Across Nottingham

About the Role
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced Gas Heating Engineers to join our Mechanical and Electrical team within Nottingham City Council Housing Services. Are you someone who wants to be appreciated for their talent skill approach and expertise as a Gas Heating Engineer We are looking for that individual who is proud of what they do and how they do it.
About You
- Proven experiencein all aspects of heating.
- Ability toundertake the accurate completion of any required installations servicing testing works and compliance certification including the ability to cap/ disk supply remove gas fires carry out system tests and re commission boilers after void periods. You will also be required to ensure that legionella standards are adhered to.
- Proven experience in dealing with the provision of central heating including boilers controls gas fires radiators and tanks.
- Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels with the ability to develop and present written or verbal information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders such as contractors and suppliers to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to remain self-motivated whilst effectively managing a diverse workload under pressure to meet specified targets and deadlines.
