Job Summary
Tower Engineering Professionalsis seeking a full-timeSurvey CAD Manager with our Survey department. As a CAD Manageryou will serve as an integral member of our Survey team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the CAD team responsible for producing maps plats and technical drawings based on survey field data.
- Develop and enforce CAD standards and best practices for land surveying projects.
- Collaborate with surveyors project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of drawings.
- Perform quality control reviews of all CAD deliverables.
- Oversee file organization naming conventions and drawing setups across projects.
- Train mentor and support junior CAD technicians and drafters.
- Assist in the implementation of new CAD technologies or software upgrades (e.g. Civil 3D GIS integrations etc.).
- Coordinate with IT or software vendors on licensing and system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of maps and drawings
- Major objectives are the quality (accuracy thoroughness and clarity) of work meeting schedules within budgets and responsive service to client
- Coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality is present and budgets and schedules are met
- Must be able to plot deeds and easements
- Ability to perform quality checks on surveys.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency inAutoCADCivil 3D and related software essential to land surveying and civil design.
- Minimum 4-5 years of CAD experiencein a land surveying
- At least2 years in a leadership or management rolepreferred.
- Strong understanding of land survey documents legal descriptions plats ALTA/NSPS surveys topographic maps and boundary surveys.
- Excellent organizational communication and team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of local and state drafting and survey standards.
- Degree or certification in drafting surveying or a related field is preferred.
